Our 3 Phase Process

We assist clients in a variety of ways – sometimes with an entire projects and others with a single part of it.  Here’s what each step of a typical process looks like and how our team can help.

  • Project feasibility – We help you develop a thorough understanding of the project, identify any potential roadblocks and raise the overall level of project awareness.

    • Review competitive environment and evaluate opportunities for growth.
    • Explore the availability of competent construction services and identify required resources.
    • Evaluate construction methods (like aerial, underground or microtrenching) and their merits for your particular project.
    • Establish pole ownership and determine the ability to attach.
    • Research right-of-way requirements.

Financial consultation – Our team can help you identify funding and assist with necessary financial applications.

    • Facilitate funding conversations.
    • Assess estimated project cost and funding needs.
    • Identify advantages of grants versus loans.
    • Assist throughout the grant and loan application process, including state, NTIA, USDA through RUS and other programs.

PHASE ONE
Project Evaluation and Discovery

  • High level design - Create a working outline of your fiber network
    • Assess rights-of-way and easements for usability.
    • Leverage imagery, property records and street-level data to outline and size the main routes and identify hub locations.
    • Generate initial bill of materials specifications and field collection maps.

Field collection – Establish a design’s feasibility, which is crucial when it comes time to evaluate ground truth.
    • Assess and compare the virtual design to the ground truth requirements like roads, rocks, trees and water.
    • Execute field collection and staking.
    • Conduct Pole Loading Analysis.

Low level design – Incorporate necessary revisions from field collection. Least-cost routing ensures the most affordable path is taken during construction.
    • Verify the design follows the path of least cost and provides a high level of serviceability while supporting growth and expansion.
    • Expand the design to include connectivity from the premises to the headend.
    • Secure permitting and pole attachment.

PHASE TWO
Design

PHASE THREE
Quality Project Management

  • Contracts
Our team helps interface with distributors and manufacturers to develop contracts throughout the build process.
    • Create a bill of materials and assist with orders.
    • Develop contracts and assist in contract negotiation.
    • Manage bidding process and assist with contractor selection.

    Supervising and inspection
Ensure the build stays true to the design.
    • Inspect work completed during construction and update construction maps.
    • Ensure documentation complies with all state and federal funding requirements.
    • Complete redlines to ensure the final path is accurately reflected in plant records and contractor units placed (CUP sheets) to account for material usage.
    • Review and substantiate invoices incurred during the construction process.

    Plant record management
Maintain outside plant records throughout the life of your network as it expands and changes.
    • Track your build and maintenance progress with web-based plant records.
    • Provide plant and network management software.
    • Generate field-ready map books.
    • Troubleshoot plant and network.
